To help build online community among Mid-Coast Mac users, we've opened a mail list named "MMOOSdroppings", in honor of our former printed-on-paper (how archaic!) newsletter. No trees will give their lives for the new MMOOSdroppings, but, alas, millions of electrons will be sacrificed.

Here's how a mail list works: you subscribe to the list with your email address. When you send an email to the list's email address (called a "post") with a question, suggestion, rant, rave, etc., all other subscribers to the list receive your post. When/if anyone replies with a post of their own, all subscribers receive their post as well.

As you receive other people's posts, you'll find they'll inspire other questions, plus, you'll get a chance to help others with your experience and expertise.

Ready to become a MMOOSdroppings subscriber? Before you go to the subscription page, here's some things to consider:

1. •You need to be able to receive AND SEND email through the email address you choose to use with MMOOSdroppings.
   

2. •After filling out the subscription form, you will receive an email verifying your address. Please take a moment to click on the link provided to complete the verification process.
   

3. •You can choose a "Digest" option. The list will then send you a compilation of the day's list traffic once a day. If you're just going to "lurk" around, Digest mode may work well for you. If you're going to be a more active contributor, Digest mode may cause you to be "behind the curve".
   

4. •If you post to the list, everyone will get to read it. No one will read it before everyone reads it but you. We do have a Moderator that can control who can post to the list if decorum becomes a problem.
